The field was planted in 2005, so it is the third year for harvest. This particular variety, Grosso, takes three years to fully mature. We are hoping for a beautiful harvest during this milestone year. The field looks so soft as the stems are shooting up and setting their buds. May 18, 2008 |

Once the field turns purple, it is time to harvest. We harvest the buds, so the field does not remain in tact for long! We began harvesting on June 16, but we plan to leave a portion of the field blooming for viewing by our visitors. Bring your camera! |
