Plants for sale this season!  Gift Shop will open June 7, 2008.

Lavender Hills of Kentucky is a family owned and operated lavender farm beginning its fourth year of operation.

Located in the northern Kentucky county of Bracken, this family farm was established in 1965 with tobacco and cattle being the main source of income.  Over forty years later, our goals have changed to include the production of lavender.

Three generations have come together to begin the first commercial lavender farm in Kentucky!  Lavender is a lovely flower used for many decorative items as well as an herb used in many recipes from entrees to desserts.

Our first year consisted of plans and plantings.  We established our first field with 375 Grosso plants in June 2005.  During the second year more Grosso plants were added as well as the introduction of Munstead and Rosea.  The second year also resulted in the successful opening of our on-farm gift shop.

Our first harvest happened in June 2006 with several bundles collected.  We now sell these lovely dried bundles, lavender-filled products, culinary lavender, cleaning products, and beauty products available on this site through our gift shop as well as in our farm-site shop.

The third year resulted in more appearances at local festivals, the introduction of on-farm workshops, and the planting of a u-pick area.  The area contains 14 varieties in blues, pinks, purples, yellows, and whites.

2008 promises more expansion since we are in the planning stages of planting a lavender labyrinth for meditation, relaxation, and spirituality.   We are also in the process of constructing a certified kitchen to offer our delicious lavender food products to you.

We are currently members of the Herb Growing and Marketing Network and the River Valley Agritourism Alliance.  We have also recently been approved as a participant in Kentucky Proud.

Is Spring finally here??

As the sun shines through the windows after a long winter, you start to see with your own eyes why your mother always made you do spring cleaning when you were a child!

It's that time of year to vacuum the dust, shake the rugs outside, make the windows sparkle, and give your house a clean, fresh scent -- add lavender to your routine this year!

Our lavender vinegar can be used to clean your kitchen and bath and leave all your windows streak free!

Sprinkle our lavender carpet freshener on the floors in all your rooms to add a wonderful floral scent as well as using it under your sofa cushions for a burst of fragrance each time you sit and around your pet's bed to help deter fleas and keep the bed fresh.
